Annex I Reports

	"Ocean Energy: Global Technology Development Status" ( pdf format, 2,550 KB) This report outlines the current progress and breadth of ocean energy technologies by providing a comprehensive listing and description of the different ocean renewable energy systems in development, with emphasis on systems based on waves and tidal currents. The information reported in the 2006 OES-IA publication, "Review and Analysis of Ocean Energy Systems, Development and Supporting Policies", prepared by AEA Technology, was reviewed as part of this work. Appendix A and Appendix B present a summary of various ocean energy technologies which have been compiled using publicly available information during the period of 2007-2008.
	"Wave Data Catalogue" ( pdf format, 1,556 KB) This document aims at providing an overview of the available wave data appropriate for assessing and characterizing the wave energy resource
	"Ocean Energy Glossary" ( pdf format, 427 KB) The Ocean Energy Glossary contains a comprehensive set of definitions of the main terms in the field of wave energy, marine current energy (tidal stream), tidal energy, OTEC and Salinity Gradient. The primary aim of this glossary is to provide an efficient and fast reference to the ocean energy specific terms for professionals and the general public. Further, it is meant to give some contribution to promoting best practice and use of common concepts in the ocean energy field.
	"OES-IA Strategic Plan 2007-2011" ( pdf format, 866 KB) This Strategic Plan outlines the scope of activities, strategic objectives, and actions targeted for the second period of the OES-IA, covering the years 2007 to 2011.
